SEPTEMBER’S MONTHLY MYTH

“Your nails need a break from BIAB or gel so they can breathe.”

This is one I hear ALL the time — but your nails don't actually breathe!

Your nail plate is made from keratin and receives oxygen and nutrients via the bloodstream, not from the air. So simply having product on your nails isn't stopping them from “breathing”.

When BIAB or gel is correctly applied, maintained and removed, it can actually provide support to the natural nail and help reduce everyday breakage.

The bigger issue? Picking, peeling, over-filing and incorrect removal — those are the things that can leave your natural nails worse for wear. 👀

Healthy nails don't necessarily need a “break” — they need good technique, proper removal and the right care.
